This has been on my mind a lot as of late. I don't really know why, I guess as I get more into my pregnancy I find myself picturing how things will be after the baby comes. I have been throwing around cosplay ideas, but I can't really bring myself to commit to any one project for sure. It seems everytime I get an idea in my head there are a million other people planning the same thing, or something similar. I can't complain really. These are, naturally, people who can get to said projects way before I can. But I think I have come up with a few ideas of what I plan to accomplish.

I know I am a better seamstress then I give myself credit for, if I would just take my time. My ultimate goal is to step things up a notch with my costuming. I am tired of crapping out the same stuff over and over again, I feel like I have become an expert in the art of school uniforms and sailor fuku. I want something with a little bit more of a challange. I am also no longer taking requests. Gone are the days of friends convincing me to cosplay a character I am not really all the fond of.

Everything will depend on our money situation after the baby gets here, but I wanted to get on here and write everything down before I forget.

Now don't go expecting these anytime soon, I have way too much on my plate right now. The only way I will even get behind a sewing machine before my next intended convention will be if Rian decides to go to ACen, and we will talk about that more closer to time. As it stands my next convention is NDK 2008.

Yeah, plenty of time to concentrate on baby and maybe start up commissions for some little extra cash. I personally will not be at any convention eariler that NDK, however you might see Rian. . . might.

After that you can plan to see us at Ohayocon 09 for sure, and maybe one or two before then. There has been talk, but again it depends on money and baby, so we will see.

For now this is what I am looking at for 2008-2009. This very well could change, but I have been really going back and forth with these for quite some time and they are ALL projects I really want to do.

Are any of you getting in early enough on Thursday to do a dinner or something? I would really like to see all my friends, get a drink with those who are old enough, just hangout. I was thinking maybe a restaurant that serves drinks so everyone can come, including those who are under 21. Otakon will be my first convention after I turn 21, so I kind of want to celebrate with my friends. All of you are people I don't get to see that often, so PLEASE come with me if you are able to.

Hum. Well, it seems like I have worked something out with my Dad to get money to pay for ACen so I should be good to go. I am going to work for him whenever he needs me for the next three weeks and he is going to pay all my expenses for ACen. I think it is a decent enough deal. Costume wise everything is pretty much planned out. Nothing will be added or dropped at this point because I have too much shit to get done. So, here is my final costume plans, and a tenitive schedule.

I will be attending the Final Fantasy photoshoot as Yuffie because I have a Deathcom photoshoot at 1:45pm with a DOC group.

I was thinking I might wear her in the later afternoon/evening. But, this is all pending on what the rest of the group wants to do.

Sunday

I will wear either Rukia or Minako. Both are comfortable and not too complex. I guess it will depend on weather or not I want to pack Rukia and bring her along. ^.^

Hi guys! I don't have very many pictures . . . just one actually! But, I have been working on things.

I cut out all the pieces for candypumpkin's Super Sailor Mars and I finally took pictures of the little heart brooch I made for her.

I have also started hemming my Eternal Sailor Venus skirts. I screwed up when I started this costume (back in May) it should have been hemmed BEFORE it was put together, so now it is really hard and HORRIABLE! D: But, it will do I suppose, I don't really have a choice. I am just hoping that once it is all done it will lie correctly and won't look to wanky. Heres to hoping!

I can't sit for too long, so I have been doing a little bit at a time sewing wise. I want to get Eternal Sailor Venus finished before the end of next week, and maybe Super Sailor Mars started . . . putting it together anyway.

OH! And, I also want to finish my Hachi costume so that I can wear the under dress for Valentines day! I think a pink and red dress will be very appropriate for the occasion. I haven't quite decided if I am actually going to add the scalloped edges to the skirt or not . . . it would be more accurate but I don't know if I like it/want to spend the extra time on it.


AANNNDDD... I think that is it for now. Maybe more pictures later this weekend.

Incase you didn’t notice . . . that isn’t me, it is my little sister. She swims in this costume because she is quite a bit smaller then me. Well, she is a size 0 and I am . . . well, I am not. Lets just leave it at that. -_-

I am sick so I didn’t really want to put this costume on to take pictures and on top of it my dress form is still at school so I couldn’t really throw it on that! My sister so graciously agreed to wear it for me, even if it doesn’t fit her. (After all, it is made to fit me. LOL.)




I think I might wear this costume at least once, maybe to Anime STL and then I will be giving it away to bloodysakura. (It will need some alterations before she can wear it, because she is a bit smaller then me.) But, it is the thought that counts, besides, I am remaking it for Otakon in different fabrics. ^.^

Hey kiddos!~

I have been sick, but motivated to work on things. The only down side to this is, I don't have any fabric for my Anime STL costumes so I have to work on whatever I have around. That isn't such a bad thing though, it means that I will be finishing up Eternal Sailor Venus and maybe Super Sailor Mars for candypumpkin. Once I get up to school to get the rest of my things, I am going to finish up zee middle school uniform for Minako!~ XD That will get that out of the way NOW and I won't have to worry about it come ACen.

Speaking of Minako, I am getting a wig for the dearest!~ I have a few in mind, I think I am going to go with yellow this time around. Maybe eventually I will get both, a natural color and the yellow!!~ :3 But, right now for some reason I feel the need to have a yellow wig. hummmm . . . it could be seeing usakochan's Myu Moon wig on cosplay.com (CHECK IT OUT along with Last Chance Myu's other awesome progress!!!!!~~) It could also be the lack of yellowness these days in Sailor Venus cosplayers. *ponders* Besides, I am told I look good in yellow. XD

None the less, expect pictures sometime this week!!!~ I won't have my dress form . . . but you will be seeing some adorable Eternal ACTION!!!~~ (I can put that one on!!~ :3) Maybe I will do the needed alterations on Chibi Moon as well. *ponders* MAYBE!


Anywhot, I am off to bed!!! I hope I feel better tomorrow so I can get back to schoolz and maybe out putting in a few applications so I can get a JOB to pay for the costumes I SHOULD be working on. o.O

I made an update on my planned costumes list! Check it out please! I want peoples to cosplay with, so if you are planning anything that would match what I have going on let me know, I am always looking for friends!

I added two costumes and made every costume link to a picture of the character so you know what I am talking about. I also added my Commissions/Gifts section so people have an idea of what I am making for other peoples.

I really like the way it is set-up now and I don't see myself adding any new costumes! I might just move things around . . .

I was really hoping I could make it this year, there are so many great reasons to go and most of them are you guys! I just don’t have the money. I still haven’t found a job here at home, and I am STILL in debt from Ohayocon! Maybe next year I will make it!

This weekend was a blast, let’s start with Thursday.

Thursday night Rude and Nana came over to spend the night because we were planning on leaving early Friday morning. Rude and I tried to dye the fabric I had for my Alice costume but were unsuccessful so once Nana got there we all piled into Rude's car and have a super fun Wal-Mart adventure in which the cashier guy thought he was clever, but was just retarded instead. Then we headed to Rude's house to get a few things that were forgotten, and so that Nana could meow at his kitties. LOL. We finally got back to my house around 11pm and I started working on costumes for the weekend. As I worked Nana and Rude hangout and kept me company, Nana showed her true talent with random guitar solos before she finally dosed off. I stopped working around 3:30am because I was doing more harm then anything else, and I FINALLY went to bed.

Just so I can freak everyone who has plans with me out . . . I have gotten practically nothing done.

I have a serious LACK of motivation. I think that Shin and I have spend the past hour either staring at the computer screen, cutting things, or talking about how unmotivated we are. In the process we . . . got my tights cut into footless tights, altered her shirt and mine and made my accessories (while getting black paint everywhere it wasn't supposed to be.)

Maybe we will get some more progress done in the next few hours. If we do, I will make a serious attempt to post pictures. If we don't. Well, then we suck.

I have been known to pile on too many things and promises get broken. I am totally up for wearing costumes I already own again, 2008 will more then likely be the year for that as I don't want to overwork myself and I want to make costumes that I can enjoy and wear over and over again. If I have made promises to anyone, I intend on keeping them, just I am not going to make any new ones.

At this point I don't think anything is changing, unless I decide to drop Yuffie for whatever reason. (Like it is cold outside, or I feel fat. o.O) If that is the case I will either wear Seras all day or Gun again. Just depends.


After much consideration I have decided on a costume to do for NANA. It took me awhile, I had originally decided on her Sabrina dress but I never gathered the money to go out and buy the load of white fabric needed. So, today I went through the manga in search of something easy to make because I don't really want to closet cosplay for Hachi again. AND, here is what I came up with.

Between what fabrics I have here and what my suitemate has we should have enough to make the right parts. It is easy because all colors are up to me so I have more choices in fabric to use and I don't have to go out and buy anything. Besides, even if it is a little chilly out this weekend I will be comfortable in pants.

Another plus, I would wear that outfit on a normal basis so it won't have to just sit in my closet.





I got my new wig in the mail yesterday for Seras. It is REALLY thin, but it will have to work. I don't have the time to go home and get the old one and I can't order another new one. I still have to style it, but here are some pictures of the unstyled wig. I don't really like the fact that it has some goofy looking bangs, but I will have to settle, maybe with some style I can figure something out. o.O

Oh, and excuse the fact that I look like death on a stick, it has been a long day. -_-

I have been really good lately about updating cosplay stuff over here instead of my personal journal.


At 2am I decided to start working on Seras. Don't ask why, I just had this urge to sew. o.O So, I ended up getting most of the base of the jacket done. I still need to add pockets, sleeves, buttons and belt loops but after that the jacket will be complete. That will leave the accessories for me to do which shouldn't be too hard (or at least I hope.) So, I guess we can say Seras is coming along nicely. I have the weasel my Dad into buying me some boots to alter slightly; I think I saw a pair at Target that would work.

I also decided to just order a new wig. The more I think about it, the less likely saving my old wig will be. I just don't know how to save wigs very well, my styling abilities are minimal. Besides, I think I will go for a more natural look with the new wig. My old one as styled after Seras in the anime, and while it was a great depiction of the anime style it was a little hard to see. Seeing I want to eventually make her costume/s from the anime I will set my old wig aside and worry about fixing it later. With a little over 2 weeks until the convention I don't have time to be stressing over weather or not I can fix my wig.

Because of this I have put off ordering a new wig for Gun. I found a cheap one I like on E-Bay but I just don't have the money so it will be added to the list of wigs I need to purchase for Ohayocon. By that time I hope to have both an on and off campus job. o.O I am going to talk to career services tomorrow about a job, without one I won't have the money to go to Reactor, and that in turn means many other people don't go to Reactor, so I HAVE to get a job. Although, my Dad got his check in the mail and offered to put some money into my bank account.

I have, yet again, gotten a new layout. It seems that my last layout was messed up so I went a looking and this is what I found. Until I find something more appropriate this will have to do. For those of you who tried to visit the journal and couldn't see anything, it should be ok now, you can check again. If something is working, just leave me a comment and I will do my best to fix it.

Costume progress in a couple of weeks. I have been working off and on on Seras, but I don't have my camera so I can't take pictures. The skirt is finished, just needs a zipper. The jacket need a lot more work, but I have time. SO, next time I go home, be looking for pictures of that as well as pictures of the improved Yuffie. ^^
